About the IGS Foundation
The IGS Foundation is managed by a 7-member Board of Trustees, selected by the IGS Council. The current Board of Trustees Chairman is Jacques Cote, Boyd Ramsey is the Treasurer, Anant Kanoi is the secretary, and Dr. Jorge Zornberg, Peter Legg, Yang Baohe, and Yuli Doulala-Rigby complete the Foundation Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees meets regularly and works to solicit donations and provide donor feedback to the IGS Council and Officers.
The formal public announcement of the creation and launch of the IGS Foundation occurred concurrently with the GeoAmericas 2020 conference managed by the IGS Brasil chapter. A video was created to present the launch and can be seen here:
The IGS Foundation is a 501(c) 3 tax exempt charitable corporation, incorporated within the State of Florida on June 19, 2019, and in the State of Texas on November 9, 2022.
